History
Founded by an Engineer
PEEC Engineering was founded by a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Peradeniya — one of Sri Lanka's most prestigious engineering institutions. Starting with a focus on road safety supply and installation, the company quickly established a reputation for technical precision and reliable delivery.
Expanding into Steel & Highway Sign Boards
As the business grew, PEEC broadened its scope into structural steel fabrication, metal building construction, and partitioning systems — taking on highway sign board projects alongside major contractors including Access Engineering and Thudawe Brothers.

Over 15 years of hands-on engineering leadership across Sri Lanka's most demanding manufacturing and infrastructure environments. As Group Engineering Manager at Sinwa Holdings — overseeing five companies and a team of 12 engineers — Chulaka led full-scale factory expansions, automated legacy machinery, and commissioned new production lines in direct coordination with overseas engineers from China and Malaysia.
His expertise covers boiler engineering, rubber manufacturing plant operations, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, heavy machinery installation, and road safety infrastructure. Backed by a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, a Diploma in Plastic & Rubber Technology, and professional membership with the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka.
